Bus Tour Diaries: Bringing It Home!
With Election Day right around the corner, the “Bring It Home” bus tour took its message across North Florida today. After almost two years of campaigning for governor, Mayor Gillum has left it all on the field, sharing his progressive vision for Florida in all corners of the state, visiting red, blue and purple counties to ensure he does not leave any Floridian behind. As governor, Andrew Gillum will bolster public education, protect Florida’s environment, and ensure access to quality and affordable health care.
Mayor Gillum made several stops across North Florida today, starting out in Marianna and continuing on to Crawfordville, Madison and finishing up in Monticello. The Gillum campaign will be ending an eventful day on the trail with Sean “Diddy” Combs headlining a “Bring It Home” Midnight Rally at Florida A&M University, which will include appearances by DJ Khaled, Tiffany Haddish, Will Packer and many more. FAMU student leaders helped put together the event to ensure students are excited about the midterms and get out the vote.
Today, Lt. Governor Nominee Chris King campaigned across the I-4 Corridor with other elected officials and candidates, speaking to voters about the importance of electing Democrats up and down the ticket. King was joined by Reps. Charlie Crist, Darren Soto, State Sen. Victor Torres and former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley. Elected officials held press conferences across the state discussing the importance of volunteering and voting to elect Democrats up and down the ticket.
Meanwhile, DeSantis made his final campaign stops and continued his usual strategy of dividing Floridians with baseless attacks and fear mongering, while Gillum has run a campaign dedicated to the future of everyday Floridians. Do your part, get out the vote and bring it home tomorrow!
